Horizon Scholar Program Summary

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHORUS

Since its inception in 1972, the Regina Philharmonic Chorus (RPC) has grown into one of Canada’s most respected community ensembles. Now celebrating its 54th season, our expansive repertoire bridges the centuries from the intricate beauty of the Renaissance to the bold energy of contemporary works. Often accompanied by members of the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO), we bring masterpieces like Faure’s Requiem and Rutter’s Gloria to life with professional scale and local heart.

The RPC is deeply committed to the future of choral music. In 2025, we proudly launched the Horizon Scholar Program, providing mentorship and financial support to developing vocal musicians. By integrating these scholars alongside local youth choirs and community soloists, the RPC continues to foster a vibrant, multi-generational arts community in Regina.
