Land Acknowledgement

The Regina Philharmonic Chorus acknowledges that our singing and music making takes place in Saskatchewan on treaty land. The RPC wishes to acknowledge and support Canadians in a time where focus on repairing relationships between immigrant Canadians settled on treaty lands over hundreds of years and the First Peoples, our Indigenous Peoples, that have always belonged to these lands, is imperative. We make our music on Treaty Four territory, the territories of the nêhiyawak, Nahkawininiwak, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis/Michif Nation. We stand together to acknowledge the harms and mistakes of our past. We dedicate ourselves to the spirit of reconciliation as we grow in our understanding. We are all treaty people.
